When do I need to accept my offer of admission?
You must accept your offer of admission through your myIllini account by May 1.

How can I be considered for financial aid? When will I get information about my financial aid status?
A: Domestic students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as soon as possible and have it sent to the university. Financial aid award letters will be available in mid-February. You can check your status on the Office of Student Financial Aid's website.

When will I be notified of merit-based scholarship awards?
Some merit scholarships are awarded at the time of admission, so you may have already been notified of a scholarship award with your acceptance letter. Most merit scholarships will be awarded by mid-March. If you don't receive a merit scholarship as an incoming student, keep in mind that other merit scholarships opportunities are available for continuing students for your sophomore year and beyond.

When will I be notified of honors program selection?
The LAS James Scholars Program will notify students at their time of admission if they have been selected as a James Scholar Honors Student. If you not are invited this year, you can self-nominate to join the program, based on your academic success at Illinois.

Can I change my major after being admitted?
You can submit a major change request through your myIllini account. But, keep in mind that by doing so, you are forfeiting your seat in your current major and are not guaranteed admission to your new major. If you have concerns about changing your major, feel free to contact us. We can give you more information on how to change your major after you get to campus.
