Matt Gold (BA, with distinction, '13, Political Science and Communication, minor: Leadership Studies; JD, magna cum laude, '16) is a lawyer completing his second clerkship with a federal judge in Chicago. He was elected to the 2012 Homecoming Court and the Senior 100 Honorary. Matt participated in numerous organizations as a student. Among those included serving as a senator in the student government and various committees like the Women's Resources Center's Advisory Council, the University's Investment and Licensing Advisory Committee, the Student Legal Services Advisory Board that he chaired, and the College of Law's Disciplinary Committee. He also worked as a tutor for Athletics. Matt is an engaged member of the Illini community and visits campus every year, as well as frequently stays involved through Chicago Illini’s watch parties. Matt recently served as a member of the Illinois College of Law Alumni Board. He also volunteers with the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago, Decalogue Society of Lawyers Board of Managers, Just the Beginning Foundation, and serves as a judge for various high school debate tournaments.
