Mounisha Kovour (BA, '22, honors biology and psychology) is a junior studying biology and psychology who is on the pre-medicine track. She is passionate about medicine and hope to become a neurologist or neurosurgeon. Her passion for medicine and specifically neuroscience came from growing up with a grandfather with Parkinson's disease. She is currently part of a cancer research lab at Illinois. She also serves as a medical scribe and has been enjoying learning through experience. She hopes to one day fulfil her goals in medicine and teach neuroscience at a university. Through LAS Leaders, she has been able to meet and connect with many peers, alumni, faculty, and staff at the University.
