President

Jerrold M. Levy (BS, '73, actuarial science) lives in Deerfield with his wife, Karen. He retired after working over 40 years as a consulting actuary and pension consultant. He also helped develop intellectual capital and was a frequent author on retirement trends and planning. He has served on the LAS Alumni Board for seven years and participated on many committees: Alumni Awards, Membership, Officer Selection, Program Committee, and Executive Committee, where he was treasurer and is currently president. In addition to the LAS Alumni Board, he served on the University of Illinois Mathematics Development Advisory Board and is currently an ex-officio member of the Scholarship Committee. Jerry's interest and passion is to help the LAS Alumni Board carry out its mission: informing prospective students and employers about the value of an LAS education, reaching out to LAS alumni to rekindle their connection with the university, and increase personal gifts that will supplant declining support from the state.
