Delanie Steinweg (BS, ’19, chemical and biomolecular engineering) is the first young alumni representative to serve on the LAS Alumni Council. Prior to graduation, she was involved in a variety of organizations across campus. One of her proudest accomplishments was serving as the president of LAS Leaders. While holding this position, she was honored to also serve as the student representative of the LAS Alumni Council and as a member of the Provost's Undergraduate Student Advisory Board. Her other involvements at the University of Illinois were in Women in Engineering, Alpha Omega Epsilon Professional and Social Engineering Sorority, Block I, Orange Krush, and research at Beckman Institute. She hope to bring my experiences as a recent undergraduate to my role as an alumna, and she looks forward to continuing my engagement with the College of LAS and the University as a whole.
