You can now own a piece of the building that has schooled the last century of Illini. Bring home a slate tile from Lincoln Hall’s roof—and your donation will support student scholarships!

Tile Engraved with Column I:
$50 donation
($20 goes to student scholarships and $30 covers the cost of engraving)

Plain Tile
$10 donation
(100% goes to student scholarships)

Of course it’s a nostalgic souvenir, but what else can you do with an old slate tile?

  • Welcome sign
  • Stepping stones along your garden
  • Chalkboard for your home or office
  • Trivet for your kitchen or patio
  • Serving platter (i.e., for artisan cheeses)

Or you can get crafty and embellish them:

  • Attach a photo and make it a frame
  • Add legs and make it a plant stand
  • Create a fireplace hearth
  • Combine several tiles for a table surface

Only 80 tiles are left; you must pay by cash or check and pick them up in person. Engraved tiles must be ordered and paid for in advance (may take up to 3 weeks). Tiles are roughly 11" x 15" and ¼-inch thick.

Purchase your tiles during regular business hours:
