When is the deadline to accept my offer of admission?
You should accept your offer of admission online through myIllini by May 1.

How can I be considered for need-based financial aid? When will I receive notification about my financial aid status?
Domestic students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible and have it sent to the university (Federal School Code: 001775). Financial aid award letters will be available between mid-March and mid-April. You can check your status online via UI-Integrate Self-Service.

When will I receive notification of any merit-based scholarships I’m being offered?
Merit-based scholarships will be awarded a few weeks after admission notification, but no later than March 1. If you don't receive a merit-based scholarship as an incoming student, keep in mind that other scholarship opportunities are available for continuing students at the college and departmental level.

When will I receive notification of honors program selection?
The LAS James Scholars Program will inform students if they have been selected as a James Scholar Honors Student shortly after admission notification. If you are not invited this year, you can self-nominate to join the program based on your academic success at Illinois.

Can I change my major after being admitted?
You can submit a Change Request Form through myIllini. But, keep in mind that by doing so, you are forfeiting your seat in your current major and are not guaranteed admission to your new major. If you have concerns about changing your major, feel free to contact us. We can give you more information on how to change your major after you get to campus.

Can I change my senior year high school schedule after being admitted?
You can change your schedule, but the change must be to a comparable level course (e.g., AP for AP, honors for honors, etc.). Typically, drops in your schedule are only approved for medical reasons or extenuating circumstances. Any request for a schedule change must be submitted for approval through a Change Request Form via myIllini.
