My favorite experience has been the Counseling Center Paraprofessional Program. I've gotten to grow my skills in public speaking, professionalism, mental health awareness, and outreach. It is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and really connect with the wider campus community. I've also grown so close to my cohort, and these experiences and people have given me the space to truly be myself.

Being heavily involved in the classics department and utilizing its resources has allowed me to make profound friendships. My wonderful friends and I love to study in the small classics library in the Literatures, Cultures, & Linguistics Building, surrounded by old books and with a gorgeous view of the Main Quad.

One of my favorite spots on campus is the Quad. I love watching the seasons change as I go to class, and it's such a nice place to recharge and people-watch. It's a great space to meet new people and see all the different groups/RSOs that do stuff on campus.

Push yourself out of your comfort zone! Try new things and don't be afraid to make mistakes. You'll never know if something will be fun if you don't even try it, and you may just meet your new lifelong friends or discover your passion by doing it.

As a student, a day in my life revolved a lot around my student athlete life on the Illinois' women's golf team. The best part of my day is getting to spend time with my team. They're so much fun to be around, and they help me appreciate all the little moments in life.

When I'm not on the golf course practicing or playing, I love hanging out with my teammates, studying outside, and taking photos of squirrels!

Getting the chance to be both a student and an athlete at the U of I has prepared me in so many ways for my future career as a physician. This fall, I will be attending the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for my MD. I could not have achieved this without the incredible resources and strong academic programs offered to students at Illinois.

Appreciate the little moments, be filled with gratitude in all the ups and downs of college life, and take time for breaks, especially when life feels overwhelming. In those moments, surround yourself with the people you want to be like, and you'll achieve your goals!
