LAS International Programs

The College of LAS encourages the development of global learning and competencies. LAS International Programs aims to provide learning opportunities and support and guidance for domestic and international students. We also support faculty and staff as we work to understand and respond to those around us, from our campus to the entire world.

We work to help LAS units in their efforts to create meaningful and academically rigorous study abroad programs while also developing courses and programs to help international students get comfortable on campus. We work directly with faculty members throughout the college to help them successfully create and lead courses abroad. We're working together to make sure that we all benefit from our broad, diverse college.

I hope that all U of I students look into their options to study abroad, because I believe that everyone has something to gain from their travels.
The LAS Vienna Diplomatic Program was an amazing opportunity to learn about US diplomatic efforts and the inner workings of multilateral affairs!
Learning about the Incas through books does not compare to actually being in the Land of the Incas. This was definitely an experience of a lifetime.
